In reply to Laura Hook.

Hi, Laura! Fantastic question!

It reminds me of the story of the persistent widow in Luke 18:1-8. This passage starts by saying, "Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up." I've heard many pastors use this verse to encourage believers to keep praying over the things that are important to them, even when it feels repetitive. In fact, I heard an especially life-changing message by Samuel Isenhower that suggested our persistence demonstrates to God the importance of that request to us.

My prayer life grew most after reading The Circle Maker by Mark Batterson. This book helped me learn how to pray without ceasing, intercessing on behalf of others over and over before God and viewing it as faith rather than repetition.

Thanks so much for the heads up on the ads, I'll be sure to follow up with my ad network on those! Publishers can choose what ads not to display on their sites (like gambling, drugs, occult, etc.) but sometimes ads slip through the cracks. Sorry about that and thanks so much for joining the conversation! ❤️

First thing I found you article very good. I didn’t find exactly what I was looking for so I do have a question. How do you pray ur needs and the needs of others without giving God a checklist over & over again on the same topics like salvation for loved ones or healing? You’re supposed to surrender ur request to Jesus so do you just pray once then move on or do u continue to pray everyday until the prayer is answered?

Secondly not sure if you are aware or even have control over what’s advertised on you page but there are some “quizzes” “ answer these questions to find out if your… blah blah” but a few were to find out if your a witch. Just thought you should know

Thanks,
Laura
