Hi, Laura! Fantastic question!

It reminds me of the story of the persistent widow in Luke 18:1-8. This passage starts by saying, “Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.” I’ve heard many pastors use this verse to encourage believers to keep praying over the things that are important to them, even when it feels repetitive. In fact, I heard an especially life-changing message by Samuel Isenhower that suggested our persistence demonstrates to God the importance of that request to us.

My prayer life grew most after reading The Circle Maker by Mark Batterson. This book helped me learn how to pray without ceasing, intercessing on behalf of others over and over before God and viewing it as faith rather than repetition.
