To the person who’s not sure how much longer they can go on like this…
To the one that’s been holding on for what feels like an eternity, just waiting for something. Anything. Searching for hope…
To the one whose hope hasn’t come, whose every day bleeds into the next as the light slips further and further from sight…
To you, in the dark:
This is not how your story ends.
It’s not.
Because arching over your darkest night, and over your brightest day, over the whole of your life and all of eternity, is a holy God. He is in control. And he does not abandon his children to die in the dark.
No matter how hopeless it looks right now, God promises, “I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.” Jeremiah 29:11
And his plans will always prevail. Proverbs 19:21
So don’t lose hope.
Don’t lose sight of God’s promises.
Trust him. Lean your full weight on him. Your God has a reputation for spectacular rescues. And he will not disappoint.
